Meet Julia Crosby, CVT
Julia has been a Certified Veterinary Technician with Spire Veterinary Surgery since 2016.
Julia obtained her AAS in veterinary technology from Bel-Rea Institute in 2016 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in 2008. Prior to working in veterinary medicine, she spent ten years in Emergency Medical Services for private ambulance companies in New England and Colorado.
Julia moved to Colorado in 2013 and began working at an emergency veterinary clinic outside of Denver. After graduating from Bel-Rea, Julia started working for Spire. She is on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians.
When Julia is not at work, she enjoys running with her huskies, hockey games, and planning her upcoming wedding.

Dr. Kevin McAbee, a 1999 graduate of CSU’s Veterinary School, is board-certified in small animal surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has extensive experience in all aspects of veterinary surgery, including orthopedic, neurologic, and oncologic surgery, as well as advanced training in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery such as arthroscopy.
